Age Grade Updates – Summer Activity & Registration
Age Grade Summer Activity 2025
As a busy Age Grade season draws to a close, there are great plans developing across clubs, schools and colleges for this summer, building up to the Rugby World Cup in August.
We are pleased to confirm the Summer Activity Framework for the off-season, to help with your planning. This runs from Tuesday 6th May until the new season starts on Saturday 6th September. This defines the formats and amount of training and playing/fixtures that can take place at each age group month by month.
We confirm, to support World Cup activities, that the number of fixtures/festivals in August has been increased to four. Please see the table below and click here(opens in a new tab) for all the Summer Activity info.
In addition, we are pleased to confirm touring teams from other Unions are welcome throughout August this year, as well as during the playing season.
This means that events throughout the month can have an international feel and include friends from across the world, however please note that the usual tour approvals will still apply.
Age Grade Registration
A huge thanks to all our parents and club volunteers across the age grade game, who have registered their players this season. We broke through last year’s total in March and now there are more than 180,000 registered age grade players in England.
We know, thanks to some great activities in clubs to celebrate the Six Nations and with not long to go until Rugby World Cup 2025, more boys and particularly girls are wanting to join your clubs.
Age Grade Registration is still open, right through the year, so please do continue to register your new players. It makes it much easier for them to renew next season and for us all to build our rugby family with an exciting year ahead.
Remember, its easy to register and all the help you need is on Community Rugby Help(opens in a new tab).
