Staffordshire rugby – STAR Scheme

Staffordshire Rugby is excited to announce our partnership with the STAR Scheme, an invaluable initiative aimed at supporting rugby clubs, in working with children who have experienced adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). The STAR Scheme focuses on creating positive environments for these children by providing structured support that includes training for volunteers in ACEs, ensuring they are equipped to engage effectively with all young players.

This partnership guarantees that, over a 12-month period, participating clubs will attract a minimum of 20 new players. The STAR Scheme will cover the associated recruitment costs, alleviating financial pressures for the families of children with ACES. All they ask is the rugby club feeds the children free of charge.

To find out how you and your club can get involved, come along to the launch event on 19th February 2025 at Stafford RUFC. Click on the QR Code on our leaflet attached to book your place
