Volunteer Award 2019/20

Staffordshire Volunteer of the Year Jodie Taylor receives Mitsubishi Volunteer award from Staffordshire County  President Rob Forysth.

 

During the Covid19 pandemic and the enforced lock-down Jodie kept the clubs profile raised within the community and massively assisted in its survival by coordinating and organising club volunteers to assist a local food bank in packing and distributing food donations.

Organising weekly Zoom fitness groups for the ladies team and then organising the smaller outside sessions when regulations allowed , also weekly socials via Zoom. when the lockdown measures were lowered she reinvograted the touch rugby section to the local community across all ages and genders.

The clubs showpiece is the end of season dinner, which for obvious reasons was cancelled. Jodie was one of the leads for creating the event online where over 70 club members attended and players and other members could be honoured for their contribution to the clubs season.

Also responsible for the clubs social media activity ensuring that  members and parents were always well informed of developments and also keeping the profile high within the community
