SRU RFU Council Election

Dear Staffordshire Rugby Club Officials,

As you are aware, the club vote concluded with a tie between Mike Bezus and Becky Davies, and the process was due to proceed to a casting vote by the SRU Executive and Management Team.

We have since been notified that Becky Davies has chosen to withdraw from the next stage of the ballot.

In light of this, the casting vote is no longer required and Mike Bezus is confirmed as Staffordshire’s RFU Council Member.

Mick Procter will continue in the role until 31 July 2026, with Mike Bezus commencing his term on 1 August 2026. We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Mick for his outstanding service to Staffordshire Rugby over the past nine years.

We would also like to thank Becky Davies & Becky Williams for standing in the election and for their continued contribution to rugby in Staffordshire.
