SCAM emails – BE AWARE
Please be aware of this SCAM, it was received by a treasurer of a Staffordshire Club pertaining to come from the Club Chairman to the Treasurer. The Clubs Chairman’ email was a fictitious one. See email chain below (Names have been deleted).
I am pretty confident that club treasurers / Chairpersons / members will identify this as a scam as soon as they read it but thought it may well be prudent to share with all other clubs on a wider bases just as a heads up that this scam is doing the rounds in the club environment.

I have been working on incentives lately, I aimed at surprising some of our members with gift cards and I want you to keep this a secret from others until I reveal the beneficiaries.
So therefore, would you be able to purchase Amazon gift vouchers of 4 x £100 face value amounting to £400 from the nearest shop to you? It shouldn’t be too difficult I imagine.
Kindly scratch them and take the pictures of the cards showing the PIN numbers and with the receipt, email them to me and keep the physical cards safe, this is confidential. I trust and hope they will be happy with this.
How soon can you get this done and you will be reimbursed back.
