Let’s discuss competitions at our next engagement opportunity
Following our tour of the country last season, we’ve been working hard to ensure everyone in the game has the opportunity to engage and help shape the game.
Over the course of the season, there will be multiple opportunities to connect and contribute, both nationally and regionally.
Earlier this year at roadshows around the country, we heard a lot of feedback about competitions.
Whilst we’ve made some changes for this season in adult league rugby, we recognise there is much more to discuss across men’s, women’s and U18 boys and girls competitions.
We want to therefore want to offer a chance for you (clubs, coaches, referees, administrators and players) to help shape future competitions.
To do so, we are running 7 webinars in October to discuss competitions, covering men and women’s league rugby, men’s merit league rugby, and boys and girls 16-18 year old rugby.
We welcome views from anyone interested in shaping competitions in the above areas of the game and especially from club officials, coaches, team managers, referees and players.
Please sign up to one webinar date below indicating the area of the game you have most interest or expertise in, as after a general introduction we will move people to breakout rooms to discuss in detail these subject areas.

Following the webinars there will be a need to digest the feedback before working through the opportunities with some competition organisers and clubs in more detail. We look forward to seeing you in October!
Local Engagement Opportunities
Many strong links and working relationships already exist between local staff and club volunteers and we want to build on that foundation.
We’ll soon be sharing more information about who’s who at a regional level and following this up with the first set of local club surgeries in January and then again in May.
These will offer the opportunity for staff and volunteers to interact, share challenges and access general and specialist support.
National Engagement Roadshows
In early 2026, we will be out on the road again to engage with local clubs with dates and venues to be shared in October.
Similar engagement will take place in May/June with CBs.
