Job Vacancy – Constituent Body Volunteer Coordinator

Purpose

To support and encourage clubs to recruit, retain and reward volunteers.

Be the first point of contact for new club volunteer coordinators to ensure they understand their role and are mentored accordingly.

Create and coordinate an annual celebration event to recognise and reward the recipients of the Staffordshire Valued Volunteer Awards.

 

Key aspects of the role

1.Support, encourage and thank the Clubs volunteers regularly

2.Gain knowledge of numbers of volunteers across the clubs, be able to identify gaps in the network, implement support and plan recruitment strategies.

3.Ensure clubs know how to get training for their volunteers and support their need to develop.

4.Recognise and reward success by inviting clubs to nominate their volunteers for Club, Constituent Body, RFU and/ or external awards.

5.Budget, plan, cost and deliver a CB Awards event to celebrate volunteers from Staffordshire clubs.

6.Promote and encourage succession planning within clubs to ensure a steady stream of volunteers are available for them to fill roles.

 

Is this role for you?

The role is voluntary and will require some basic IT skills and some experience of event planning and management.

If you are welcoming and easily approachable, with strong listening, organisational and communication skills and you have the ability to confidently motivate others, then you would be more than capable of engaging in this important role for the Constituent Body and all of its clubs.

Taking a seat on the Staffordshire Rugby Union Management Team you will report to the Chairman at the monthly management meetings.
