Vacancy: Men’s Rugby Lead -Staffordshire Rugby
Staffordshire Rugby is seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking individual to become our first Men’s Rugby Lead.
This newly created role reflects our commitment to strengthening the adult men’s game across the county. While dedicated leadership roles have long existed for Minis, Age Grade, Girls and Women’s rugby, we believe the time has come to provide the same strategic focus on the cornerstone of community rugby – the adult men’s game.
The Men’s Rugby Lead will become a member of the Staffordshire Rugby Management Team and will work closely with clubs and volunteers to help shape the future of men’s rugby across Staffordshire.
The successful applicant will help:
- Develop a county-wide Men’s Rugby Action Plan.
- Support clubs with player recruitment and retention.
- Support the transition from Colts into senior rugby.
- Encourage innovative and flexible playing opportunities.
- Build relationships with clubs and understand the challenges they face.
- Promote sustainable growth and participation across the men’s game.
- Analyse the player data to increase our understanding of participation
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a strong understanding of community rugby.
- Can build trusted relationships with clubs and volunteers.
- Thinks strategically and enjoys finding practical solutions.
- Wants to make a lasting difference to rugby in Staffordshire.

Appointment
The appointment is for an initial three-year term and forms part of the Staffordshire Rugby Management Team.
