In normal times the Midlands Division Organising Committee distributes the Midlands leagues fixtures for the new season via its league secretaries on June 1st each year. The MDOC also publishes the fixtures for each Midlands League on the RFU and MDOC websites on the same date. However, due to the coronavirus Covid-19 restrictions in place at the time of writing and the RFU’s understandable delay in publishing a Structured Season and therefore the fixtures, the June 1st date is, more than likely, going to be missed. Coupled with this is the notification normally given regarding the RFU KO Competitions and the accompanying entry form that clubs wishing to participate need to complete before the end of June.
Due to all this uncertainty, the start to the new season will likely be delayed and will mean that the RFU KO Competitions will be postponed, to enable the League programme to be completed as a priority.
Please therefore appreciate that there is going to be a hold-up in the timetable for these documents to be produced and published.
As soon as the MDOC is aware of the arrangements made by the RFU to start up the Community game again we will make further announcements.
