Referee Injury Support Programme

NO REFEREE. NO GAME.

Staffordshire Rugby Union & Staffordshire Rugby Referees are delighted to launch the first Referee Injury Support Programme.

Around 75% of Staffordshire referees are not members of a rugby club, which can leave them without access to the physiotherapy support available to club players when they are injured.

So we asked our Clubs for their help.

Of Staffordshire’s 28 clubs, 14 currently retain physiotherapy provision — and every one of those 14 has agreed to support our referees.

The programme will give injured Staffordshire referees access to professional assessment, initial treatment and advice on their return to refereeing.
